For the Boeing B777 aircraft Talon holds various approvals for the LED replacement package and is finalizing several more.
The STC approvals for the LED strobe system are in final stages. To replace the upper and lower Centerline strobes Talon plans to use LED Centerline strobe TAE0328-2 and installation kits which include the installation adapter, harness and hardware required to mount these to the aircraft. STC approval expected Q1 2020.
To replace the LED Wing Tip Strobe LED strobe assembly TAE1228-4A and power supply TAE1228-5 are planned. The installation kit includes required brackets, harnesses and mounting hardware to attach the LED wing tip strobes to the airframe.
The LED Tail Strobe uses LED strobe assembly TAE1228-1D and power supply TAE1228-5. The LED tail strobe installation kit includes a mounting adapter and a new lens assembly made from Lexan.
The development for the LED forward navigation lights and LED aft position lights is also underway with an STC approved solution planned for Q1 2020.
Talon holds FAA STC approval for the LED Sealed Beam replacement lamps for the Boeing B777 aircraft.
PAR 64 LED landing light TAE0728-1 is used to replace OEM Q4559X landing light, PAR 46 LED taxi light TAE0628-2 is used to replace the OEM Q4554 and 4551 taxi and runway turn off lights.
This product is completely plug and play, there is no modification required to the airframe.
The Talon LED bulbs will work with most pulse lite systems.
For the LED Logo Light Talon has developed a new B777 LED Logo Light Assembly to replace the halogen based OEM logo light. This unit consists of a rack which holds a transformer assembly and LED module. The LED module is available in cool white and warm white. The lens is retained from the OEM assembly or the operator can order a new lens from Talon for the assembly.
As part of this STC Talon can also offer a new LED main deck cargo light insert. This insert is a plug and play replacement for the 2ea 3011 OEM incandescent bulbs. There is no modification required to the aircraft.
